The Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) is held annually, every 25th of December until the first week of January since its establishment in 1975.

During this period, only locally-produced films are shown in the entire Philippines. The festival starts with a parade of floats, each representing a movie entry and ends with an awarding ceremony.
